- The Planet Rock Route Setting Competition! - Posted 05/29/2007
What it is:
A chance for Route Setters to engage in a friendly competition and find out who can set the most popular route… and win some money too.
1st place = $90.00
2nd place = $60.00
3rd place = honorable mention
How it works:
Sign up by Thursday, May 31st, 2007
You must be a Planet Rock certified or qualified Route Setter to participate.
When everyone is signed up the divisions will be determined.
- If 8 or less people participate, there will be only one division. 5.9.
- If 9 to 12 people sign up, there will be two divisions. 5.9 & 5.10 split equally.
- If 13 to 24 people sign up, three divisions split equally.
You can come in and set your route any time within the specified period. You may change, tweak, and modify your route as much as you like but it
…must be complete by 10:00 PM Friday, June 8th, 2007
On Saturday, June 9th
scorecards will be posted at the starts of all routes in the comp.
Customers will have one week to climb and then fill out the scorecards, rating the routes fun-ness on a scale of 1 to 10.
Friday, June 16th
The organizer will collect all of the scorecards and calculate the average fun-ness score for all of the routes.
Saturday, June 17th
The results will be posted on the bulletin board, the web, and the individual rating with each route. Also … 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be labeled with ribbons on the wall.
Prizes will be awarded!
