Planet Rock is all about climbing. Our classes and instructional clinics are designed to elevate your climbing experience by improving technique, strength, knowledge and flexibility. Classes fit a wide range of climbing levels and abilities; learn the basics of rock climbing, including belaying and technique.or progress into more advanced skills such as anchor building, technique and transitioning to climbing outdoors. We will get you ready for your next climbing adventure!
FREE CLIMBING 101
Participants must have already gone through a Starter Package lesson and know how to belay prior to taking this class. Climbing 101 is a great review for current climbers and a great introduction for beginning climbers ages 14 and older. Stretches are designed with climbers in mind, highlighting areas in the shoulders, hips, obliques and hands. Classes cover techniques for effective foot/hand placement as well as identifying different types of holds. If you are newer to climbing or are at a 5.6-5.8 level, this is a great class for you. All Climbing 101 classes are free with a gym membership or purchased gym day pass.
