Planet Rock Goes Cold on Saturday, December 10th during our annual homage to all things ice climbing! Our event features a smorgasbord of activities designed to get you in gear for ice climbing season: professional demonstrations, dry-tooling routes that you can try out, ice equipment clinics, ice-axe pull-up competition, and a whole lot more! Our expert pals from Black Diamond, Petzel, Peabody, and the American Alpine Club will be here to answer questions, give products demos and let you try out their gear. Even if your favorite winter activity is hibernation, we still have something for you: roaring fire and hot chocolate, anyone? At 7:00pm, Goes Cold will be screening the Michigan Ice Film. (You can watch the trailer here).

You can also win your way into free gear and swag from our sponsors. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6/$5. Score yourself more raffle tickets by donating your gently-used warm clothing. For the week of December 5-10th, Planet Rock is hosting the Warm Clothes Warm Hearts clothing drive benefiting our friends at the HOPE Warming Shelter in Pontiac. For every large item you donate (or several small items) you get another chance to win some of our awesome prizes. Plus, you get to feel good about helping support someone in need. Warm fuzzies for everyone!

Did we mention this event is free with a member or day pass? Come for a day of climbing and then stay for the action as Planet Rock Madison Heights Goes Cold on December 10 from 4:00-9:00pm!
